Tues Aug 4, 2015: Public Information Session on Parks & Protected Areas on the Chebucto Peninsula

mapAnnouncement for a Public Information Session on parks & protected areas, trails, and land use/development: MLA Iain Rankin has asked Nova Scotia Environment to participate in a public info session on parks, protected areas, and trails & land use. The geographic focus will be on the Chebucto Peninsula to Hammonds Plains Road, more or less. This Public Information Session will take place at Hubley Community Centre, Tuesday Aug 4 2015, 7 pm to 9 pm.   1. Ran Hulls Gulch from 8th street panirkg to the waterfall yesterday (yes there is a waterfall right now) then to Scotts. The plan was to run Scotts to Corrals and back to Hulls via motorcycle panirkg area. Didn’t make it too far on Scotts though. It’s still a little too muddy. Had to turn around and follow the same loop back. Not the route I had planned but still a great run. Shoes and socks got soaking wet (I had to wring my socks out twice on the way up) from the overgrown grass on the way out to the waterfall. Gotta love that smartwool not one blister or hotspot! Great day for a run!

    Wonderful! Thanks for letting us know. Sounds like a great adventure.

    Have you tried trail running the Bluff Wilderness Trail yet? It is a great, though challenging one! Stunning in the fall with the changing colours.
