We are taking a stab at a new way of communicating with you by providing a digest every couple of months with a summary of key upcoming events and news. 

 

Blue Mountain- Birch Cove Lake Regional Park Panel Discussion Tomorrow Night

The Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP) is hosting a panel discussion this Tuesday on the struggle to protect a key area for the future greenbelt: Blue Mountain-Birch Cove Lakes Regional Park. The province has designated the area to become park, but the municipality has yet to do its part and acquire the lands. The discussion will be an opportunity to learn about land protection and meet other groups working on these issues. 

 

Topic: Blue Mountain- Birch Cove Lake Regional Park

Key Note: Raymond Plourde, EAC Wilderness Coordinator. Panelists include: Honourable Diana Whalen; Ryan Van Horne, Journalist; Truman Layton, Outdoor Enthusiast.

Council Discussion of Regional Plan on May 20th 

 

There will be a Council Discussion the Regional Plan at the Council Meeting on May 20th. We encourage a strong presence and continued pressure to ensure sustainable growth in this region.

Trails Day on the Bluff June 7, 2014- Bring the Whole Family!

 

We hope to see you all out with your families on the Bluff Trail Saturday June 7, 2014! Our Board of Directors will be there to greet you. The first 30 kids will get an Insta-matic photo of themselves on the trail or entering the trail. That's right Insta-matic. ;) 

 

Please remember to park perpendicular to the Bay Storage area to make as much room as possible for other cars.
